Our providers specialize in diagnosing and treating a wide range of autoimmune and inflammatory conditions, particularly different types of arthritis. This includes rheumatoid arthritis, psoriatic arthritis, lupus, gout, ankylosing spondylitis, osteoarthritis, vasculitis, and many others. If you’re dealing with joint pain, swelling, or persistent fatigue, we’re here to help identify the cause and provide a treatment plan.
Referral requirements depend on your insurance plan. While we do assist by calling and reminding patients, it is ultimately the patient’s responsibility to ensure a valid referral is received before their appointment. If you’re unsure, please check with your insurance provider or call our office for help.
Please bring the following:
• A valid photo ID
• Insurance card
• Referral (if required by your insurance)
• A list of current medications
• Recent lab results or imaging
• Any other relevant medical records
This helps us provide the most accurate and efficient care during your visit.
Your initial consultation is thorough and may take between 45 to 80 minutes, depending on the complexity of your symptoms and medical history.
Possibly. Your provider will review your previous records and determine whether additional lab work or imaging (such as X-rays or ultrasounds) is needed. This helps us better understand your condition and tailor your treatment plan.
Treatment depends on your diagnosis and overall health. Options may include:
• NSAIDs (non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs)
• Corticosteroids
• DMARDs (disease-modifying antirheumatic drugs)
• Biologic therapies
• Infusion or injectable medications
Every treatment plan is personalized and developed after your provider reviews your test results and clinical evaluation.
Yes! We offer both infusions and in-office injections. We also provide training for self-injectable medications to make sure patients feel confident administering their medication at home.
Follow-up frequency depends on your condition and treatment plan. Typically, patients are seen every 1–3 months initially, and visits may become less frequent once symptoms are well-managed.
Yes, we diagnose and treat osteoporosis. We offer most standard osteoporosis treatments on-site, including Evenity®, Prolia®, and Reclast®.
Please refer to the “Rheumatologist Accepting Insurance in Maryland” section on our website for a full list of accepted insurance providers.
You can reach us by phone at 410-744-0661. Our phone hours are 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday through Friday. For non-urgent matters, you may also reach out through our patient portal if you’re enrolled.
This depends on your treatment and how regularly you follow up. Many of the medications we prescribe require routine lab monitoring to ensure safety. If you are compliant with your follow-up schedule and labs, refills are usually not a problem. However, failure to keep appointments or complete lab work may result in delays or denial of refills for your safety.
